On the first Saturday of each month, there are opportunities to serve with our community and mission partners at the LIFT Center. Space is limited, so sign up as soon as you are able. Many opportunities are family-friendly.

All LIFT Center volunteers must submit a LIFT Center application. If you haven't yet, complete and submit before signing up below.

1. Sandwiches for DuPage PADS | 9:30–10:30 a.m. | LIFT Center | Community Room

• Prepare sandwiches for DuPage PADS.

2. Prep Meals for DuPage PADS | Canceled this month | DuPage PADS | Downers Grove

• Prep Meals for DuPage PADS in their kitchen.
• DuPage PADS | 1113 Butterfield Frontage Rd. | Downers Grove

• Family-friendly for ages 14 and older

3. Grocery Delivery to Seniors | 9:00–11:00 a.m. | Breakthrough | East Garfield Park

• Load and deliver 50 boxes of groceries to seniors and adults with disabilities in a nearby apartment complex.
• Breakthrough | 3334 W. Carroll Avenue | Chicago
• 6 volunteer spots are available

4. English Conversation Cafe | 10:30am-12:00pm | LIFT Center | Community Room

• Help others practice speaking English in a friendly, welcoming environment

• Open to English learners of all skill levels

• Meet new people and connect with the community​​​​​​

5. Watercolor Painting | 9:00am -10:30am | Christ Church Oak Brook | Garden Plaza

• Paint watercolor cards to be donated to the LIFT Market guests

• Family-friendly and open to all ages

• No previous painting experience needed

• All supplies and step-by-step guidance are provided

6. Breakthrough Manna Meal | 10:30am-1:00pm | East Garfield Park

• Breakthrough Women’s Center | 3330 W. Carroll Ave, Chicago
• Cook lunch for 40+ women and eat lunch with the guests
• Volunteers will contribute ingredients for meal
• 5 volunteer spots are available
• Minimum Age: 8 years old
