Christ Church Kids

Christ Church Kids | Birth–Grade 5

Children are a vital part of the church today. Every week during all worship, our team of faith mentors teach the Bible and lead worship, spurring our children to love Jesus wholeheartedly and carry His light into their world. Christ Church Kids is a place where kids ages birth–grade 5 receive tangible expressions of God's grace and truth through fun, age-appropriate activities.

Currently, at our Oak Brook campus, we are undergoing construction in some of our classroom spaces.  Your child's nametag that you print on Sundays will have the correct room assignment. Click the button below to view updates.

Christ Church Kids meets every Sunday during both worship services with the exception of a few holidays. Please take a moment to register your child before arriving on Sunday. Registering will allow for an easy check-in.

Sunday Check-in Process & Security Pick-up Tag
We recommend arriving 10–15 minutes before service to have ample time to park, check in your kids, and walk them to their classrooms. You will find parking spaces near the church doors labeled for new visitors you are welcome to use. If you enter the church through doors 1 or 17, you will find our Christ Church Kids Check-in area in The Commons. A greeter will be able to point you in the right direction, and a member of our Christ Church Kids team will then guide you through the check-in process.

Release On Own | Grades 4 and 5
If you have a child in grade 4 or 5 who wishes to be released from class on his or her own without a parent or guardian showing a security pick-up tag to the teacher, please click on the Register link above and choose the RELEASE ON OWN class.

Gather Sunday | Grades 1–5
Most Christ Church Kids say this is the most fun Sunday of the month! Gather is a large group setting with fun games, crafts and worship. See Christ Church Kids Gather Sunday below for details.

Early Check-in Available on the Christ Church Connect App
For faster check-in, you can download the Christ Church Connect App. On Sundays before arriving, you can open the app and click on your profile picture to find “Pre Check-in”. Choose your child's class and then a QR code will appear that you will scan at a kiosk. After scanning the QR code, your child's nametag and security pick-up tag will print for you.

What is Family Worship?
There are several Sundays throughout the year that we encourage our families to worship together with their children. There may be times during Family Worship when child care is available for children 4 years old and younger.

Stay up to date!
If you would like to learn about our special events like the Bible Class for grades 3–5, Easter Eggstravaganza, summer camps, VBS, and special events, please Subscribe to our quarterly e-Newsletter! We will email you with information relevant to the age group you specify.

Bible Class and Celebration | Grades 3–5
Sundays in April and May 19
    Oak Brook & Butterfield

Bible Class | Sundays in April during both worship services
    Bible Celebration | May 19
Grades 3–5 | Students who have not taken class or received a Bible
    Oak Brook & Butterfield

If you already registered for the Bible Class when it was originally planned for February 2024, your child is still registered. If your child has already taken the Bible class and received their Bible at a celebration, there is no need to register your child again. If you have any questions, email Jennie Amidei.

Students in Grades 3–5 are at an exciting stage of spiritual development as they begin to learn how to navigate the Bible and seek ways to express their own personal relationship with God. The Children’s Ministry team would like to partner with families to help celebrate this important faith milestone by providing your child with their very own Bible.

This is an opportunity for your child to attend Bible class every Sunday during either worship service in April in Fellowship Hall 2. The students will explore their new Bibles with their faith mentors, ask questions and dive into the living Word of God! Bibles will be kept at church until May 19 when they will be presented to all the children who were in the Bible class at the Bible Celebration during the worship service. Registration is required for participation in the Bible Class and Celebration at Oak Brook.

Please note that many students in grades 4 and 5 have already attended this class. There will will be the regular Christ Church Kids classes on Sundays for those students.

If you would like to be a part of this special time in your child's life and help facilitate activities in class at either campus, please email Jennie Amidei. A guide will be provided to you and teachers will be present leading the class.
